Hi! My name is Elliot, and this is my little sliver of the world wide web!

I'm from a small rural area in South Jersey, where growing up, you could kind me hanging out with my friends, coding something on my laptop, or working my job as a cashier.

Since 2021 I've been trying to find alternatives for social media and other things, where I just said "Screw it, i'm done." November 2022, I found NeoCities, and I haven't looked back! Everyone has their own little sites with their own little blurbs, and we can all express ourselves how we want :)

That's where the first version of my site ended up. I made it with frames in Microsoft Frontpage 2003, where I scraped it and started learning HTML and hand-coded my site. In 2024 ,I learned I needed to host my code elsewhere so I had better capapbilities on what I could do. And now, I try to make my own version of.. everything! Notes app, web designers, etc. I'm not a pro in the slightest. But I'm still very proud of what this small idea I had in my head became.

Though my life does have ups and downs, and left my website ending ubruptly in 2024, I've been more focused with my life as an adult trying to get through life one day at a time. This website still gets updates, but not as often as 16-y/o me would've wanted. But, elliotsmoon was the project that kept me going in 2023-24. So, I keep it up. And I hope other people can take inspiration from my projects, and ambition, to keep the old web, and self hosted projects going.
